Where do I go if I have an emergency and am not insured?

Foreign citizens with domicile/residence in Romania who are not listed as insured

benefits, just like uninsured Romanian citizens, only from the minimum package of

medical services defined in the CC Norms:

– you can contact any family doctor, specialist doctor from the outpatient clinic

specialty, respectively any hospital or provider of emergency consultations at home and

unassisted transport, provided they are under contract with a health

insurance company.

– you can register on the list of a family doctor regardless of whether or not you are insured, in the latter case having the right to medical services from the minimum package of services specific to primary medical care.
