The National Employment Agency has announced the authorization of the first placement agencies for foreign nationals, carried out exclusively online, through the IT platform WorkinRomania.gov.ro.
Operational since August 6, 2026, the platform is a digital tool designed to simplify and streamline administrative procedures for foreign nationals entering the Romanian labour market. It enables employers hiring foreign nationals to register online and get certified employer status, and allows placement agencies to request and obtain authorization.
Additionally, the platform allows users to upload and process unified applications for foreign nationals, bringing all essential operations and required documents into a single digital space.
According to the Agency, a key feature is the transparency of the authorization process: placement agencies and authorized employers are automatically listed in dedicated registers, which are publicly accessible directly on the platform.
