What are the entry conditions in Romania?

The Romanian border police allow you to enter the country if you have the following documents:

  • a valid document for crossing the state border, which is accepted by the Romanian state;
  • visa or residence permit granted under the law or if you have an authorization that gives you the right to transit or stay on the territory of Romania;
  • documents that justify the purpose and conditions of your stay and that prove that you have money for maintenance during your stay, but also for returning to your country of origin or for transit to another state;
  • you present guarantees that you will be allowed to enter the country of destination or that you will leave the territory of Romania if you are in transit;
  • documents that there are no reports on your name in the National Information System of refusal of entry to the territory of the Romanian state;
  • there are no indications that you present a danger to national defense and security, order and public health;
  • you do not present a danger to national defense and security, order, health or public morals.
