Some 85,000 work permits for foreign nationals

As of early 2025 to September 30, the number of work permits issued to foreign nationals reached 84,826, accounting for 72.4% of the approved annual quota, the General Inspectorate for Immigration has announced.

In that time span, most permits were issued for permanent workers: 84,125. Also, 262 people received work permits as posted workers, 214 permits were issued for highly qualified workers, and 177 permits were granted to seasonal workers.

43 other permits were issued for ICT workers, specifically for people transferred within the same company, whereas 4 permits were granted for au pairs and one permit was issued for an intern.
