Services for foreign nationals

Over 45,000 foreign nationals benefited from services provided by immigration police officers in Constanta in the first 8 months of the year. During that time span, 4,854 residence permits, 2,797 work permits and 4,590 temporary protection documents were issued for citizens of Ukraine.

Over 45,000 foreign nationals benefited from services provided by immigration police officers in Constanta in the first 8 months of the year. During that time span, 4,854 residence permits, 2,797 work permits and 4,590 temporary protection documents were issued for citizens of Ukraine.

Of the over 45,000 aforementioned citizens, 14,243 were foreign nationals  from third countries, 1,641 from EU member states and some 30,000 foreign nationals were beneficiaries of temporary protection.

Most non-EU citizens come from Turkey, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Republic of Moldova, Bangladesh, Syria, Egypt, the Philippines and India. European citizens come mainly from Italy, Germany and Sweden. The main purposes for which foreigners have established their residence in Romania include employment, studies and temporary protection.
