Romania has become a country of destination for foreign workers, said president Nicuşor Dan at the annual meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Romania. I assure the ambassadors representing the countries these workers have come from of our gratitude for the work of their citizens. The Romanian authorities are making every effort to ensure the best possible integration of these foreign nationals into our society and economy, the president added.

In another move, protecting and promoting the rights and interests of Romanian citizens abroad is a priority, the head of state said. I would like to express my gratitude to the countries that host Romanian communities abroad. Protecting and promoting the rights and interests of Romanian citizens living abroad is a priority of my term in office and a strong bridge between our countries. We are taking several initiatives to improve the connection between the Romanian state and our communities abroad, said Nicuşor Dan.
