Results achieved by the immigration police

Between March 23 and 31, the Romanian immigration police carried out, 191 actions, controls and checks, at a national level, aimed at preventing and combating illegal migration. These activities were carried out both independently and in cooperation with other relevant institutions. As a result of the irregularities found, 54 fines were applied.

Between March 23 and 31, the Romanian immigration police carried out, 191 actions, controls and checks, at a national level, aimed at preventing and combating illegal migration. These activities were carried out both independently and in cooperation with other relevant institutions. As a result of the irregularities found, 54 fines were applied.

Following these activities, 70 foreigners were found in illegal situations; 7 of them were returned, 8 were taken into public custody, and other legal measures were ordered for the remaining individuals.

The immigration police registered 5,100 work permit applications. During this period, 4,411 such documents were approved and 442 were rejected.

Additionally, 3,977 applications for the extension of residency rights were registered, and 4,259 temporary and long-term residence permits were issued to foreign nationals. Another 790 residence permits were issued to beneficiaries of temporary protection.

Currently, the occupancy rate of the accommodation centers managed by the General Inspectorate for Immigration is 19.4%.
