Since the launch of the WorkinRomania platform (workinromania.gov.ro) until August 24, 2026, applicants have initiated 866 applications on the digital platform designed for employers and foreign worker placement agencies, the General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI) has announced.
For 103 of these applications, complete documentation has been uploaded and all checks under IGI’s area of responsibility have been finalized. The General Inspectorate for Immigration will continue its activities to meet the legal deadlines set by Emergency Ordinance No. 32 of April 23, 2026, regarding the access of foreigners to the Romanian labour market, the aforementioned source has added.
The data recorded during the initial operational period confirms that the new platform is being actively used by employers, legal representatives, and placement agencies, who now have a single digital tool at their disposal to initiate and manage applications. The Inspectorate believes this new digital solution helps simplify administrative procedures, increase transparency, and standardize the workflow, while fully maintaining all checks required by the current legislation.
To ensure applications are submitted fully and as quickly as possible, the General Inspectorate for Immigration recommends that users verify the accuracy of the data they have entered and ensure all necessary documents are attached, before finalizing their submission.
