The General Inspectorate for Immigration validated 57 applications on WorkInRomania platform, during its first month of operation, following the completion of all standard procedures and legal checks. Between August 7 and September 7, 2026, a total of 1,762 applications were registered on the platform. The Inspectorate views this high volume as a clear proof of a high interest in the new digital tool and a successful shift toward a unified, standardized and transparent administrative workflow.
Of all registered applications, 1,207 are currently filled in or edited by applicants and have not yet been submitted for verification. The General Inspectorate for Immigration has received 457 applications so far. 22 of the already validated ones were submitted by placement agencies, 4 by authorized employers, and 31 by registered employers.
WorkInRomania integrates the initiation, completion, submission, and processing of applications into a single digital system. This helps cut down on traditional red tape, ensures unified document management, and improves the traceability of every application. Through this system, the General Inspectorate for Immigration processes applications within its area of responsibility, while strictly observing all legally stipulated verification stages. Digitizing the administrative workflow streamlines the relationship between the administration and the business sector, without compromising immigration control standards.
To ensure the fastest possible processing, the Inspectorate advises users to double-check their data entry and ensure all required documents are correctly uploaded before final submission.
